The MLC Aquatic swimming team have spent a magical 5 days racing at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.  A lot of fun was had by all over the gruelling 5 day meet (with one day being 12 hours of racing…).  The team was so impressive that MLC got a mention in an article by the international swimming publication SwimSwam, with our top performing swimmers, being Noah Millard and Liv Lefoe who also claimed age group champions for their age.
Over the course of the meet our 57 swimmers produced 163 top 10 finishes (finals swims), 80 medals, 28 of which were gold with our relay teams producing outstanding team efforts winning medals in 17 or the 20 relays and most of those gold medals.  Overall the team placed a comfortable 2nd on the point score behind Nunawading swimming club.
Looking forward to the Australian National Championships we had 25 new qualifying times swam and 4 first time qualifiers from the meet.  A great effort by all involved.  Thank you goes out to the team managers for their time during the week and well done to the coaches Jayden, Nick, Josh and Jack for all their work over the past term.
