Over the weekend of 8th and 9th Feb, MLC Aquatic had 47 swimmers compete at the Victorian Sprint Championships in the heats and finals format. From those 47 swimmers there were a huge number of personal best times with 21 swimmers making finals on the Sunday along with our 3 relay teams. Of the 21 swimmers to make finals there were a number of swimmers with multiple swims adding up to 51 individual finals swims for the meet. The performance on Sunday was outstanding with over 85% of swims being faster than Saturdays heat swims, culminating in 8 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze medals for the meet. Our relay teams also stood up on Sunday with both the boys and girls winning silver medals in the 5x50m freestyle relays.
All up a great team effort and a positive stepping stone towards our major events for the year.
